Jobgether seeks a Manager, Data Engineering in the United States to lead a team of five engineers, translate architecture strategy into roadmaps, and deliver scalable data pipelines. You will drive lakehouse implementations, governance, and observability while championing DataOps and modern software practices in a remote-first setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering with production data pipelines.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role with team coordination and delivery ownership.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake patterns for lakehouse architectures.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion across varied sources.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of at least five data engineers with hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Translate data architecture strategy into actionable roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint plans.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability, documentation, and repeatable delivery.
• Drive Medallion architecture (Bronze-Silver-Gold) using Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, SQL Server, dbt, Boomi, and Rivery.
