Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to build and lead the firm’s cloud-based data platform. You will set engineering standards, enforce governance, and coordinate with Data Science & AI teams to deliver trustworthy data products across analytics, reporting, and applications.

The role requires deep SQL, Python, and cloud experience, with a focus on scalable, secure data pipelines and collaboration with business leaders. Remote or hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years leading data engineering or related technical teams with direction-setting responsibilities.
• Experience managing budgets and selecting tools, platforms, and services.
• Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and analytics for AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build-out of cloud-based data platform from the ground up.
• Set standards for data engineering methods, quality, and governance.
• Partner with Data Science & AI teams to translate requirements into platform improvements.
• Provide architectural leadership and ensure scalable, secure data products.
