Job summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Lead to guide a small team and shape Oxford’s enterprise data platform. You will drive architecture, development, troubleshooting, and delivery across Azure, Fabric, and related services.

Lead platform strategy, optimize pipelines, and ensure reliable data products for analytics. Strong T-SQL, Python, and CI/CD experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of data engineering experience, including at least two years leading engineers or as a technical lead.
• Hands-on experience using Microsoft Fabric in a production environment.
• Knowledge of Azure data services and integration with Fabric.
• Advanced T-SQL skills for ETL at scale.
• Experience orchestrating and monitoring transformation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers with clear priorities and career growth.
• Own platform strategy across Azure and Fabric, consolidating pipelines and components.
• Build and mature Fabric platform including Lakehouse, Warehouse, pipelines, and OneLake.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server environments for performance and reliability.
• Design, test, and maintain ETL processes with version control.
• Manage end-to-end transformation pipelines, scheduling, monitoring, and recovery.
• Lead change management for upstream source changes to avoid business disruption.
• Establish standards for data quality, testing, observability, security, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with analysts and BI teams to translate requirements into data products.
• Oversee platform reliability, costs, governance, and PII handling.
