Job summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Lead to guide a small team and shape the next stage of the company’s enterprise data platform. You will own the platform strategy across Azure and Fabric, consolidate pipelines, and build a clear path to a robust Fabric-based data ecosystem.

You’ll lead architecture, development, troubleshooting, and delivery while coordinating with analytics, technology, and business stakeholders. Strong SQL/Python and ETL/ELT design are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of data engineering experience with leadership.
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric in production environments.
• Strong Azure data services knowledge and integration with Fabric.
• Advanced T-SQL skills and ETL/ELT design patterns.
• Proficiency in Python and Spark/PySpark; CI/CD and IaC basics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a data engineering team with clear priorities and career development.
• Own platform strategy across Azure and Fabric, consolidate pipelines and components.
• Develop and mature Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, and OneLake.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes; manage SQL Server environments for performance.
• Oversee pipelines end-to-end, monitoring, scheduling, and fault recovery.
• Drive data quality standards, observability, and governance, including PII handling.
