Job summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Lead to guide our data engineering team and shape the next stage of our enterprise data platform. Reporting to the Director of Data Operations, you’ll lead two to four engineers while staying closely involved in architecture, development, and delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of data engineering experience, deep T-SQL and Azure Fabric expertise, and a proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with analysts and BI

Qualifications

• Five+ years of data engineering experience, with leading engineers.
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric in production.
• Azure data services: Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL.
• Advanced T-SQL, ETL/ELT at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform/Bicep).
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
• Own platform strategy across Azure and Fabric.
• Develop and mature Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines.
• Design and optimize stored procedures and SQL Server environments.
• Manage end-to-end transformation pipelines and monitoring.
• Coordinate with platform owners for upstream/downstream changes.
• Enforce data quality, testing, observability, CI/CD standards.
• Partner with analysts and BI teams to deliver data products.
