Job summary

Oxford Global Resource, LLC is seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Lead to guide a small team and shape Oxford’s enterprise data platform. You’ll own the platform strategy across Azure and Microsoft Fabric, building a consolidated Fabric environment while maintaining business continuity.

You’ll lead architecture, development, troubleshooting, and delivery for a data ecosystem spanning Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory pipelines, with strong emphasis on quality, security, and governance.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of data engineering experience with leadership exposure.
• Hands-on use of Microsoft Fabric in production environments beyond PoC.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data services and Fabric integration.
• Advanced T-SQL with ETL development and optimization at scale.
• Experience orchestrating and monitoring transformation pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Spark/PySpark.
• CI/CD and infrastructure as code using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform or Bicep.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers with clear priorities and career growth.
• Own platform strategy across Azure and Fabric, consolidating pipelines and components.
• Build and mature Fabric platform (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, OneLake).
• Develop and optimize SQL Server ETL and stored procedures with version control.
• Manage end-to-end transformation pipelines, orchestration, scheduling, and recovery.
• Lead change management for upstream source-system changes and ensure warehouse adaptability.
• Enforce data quality, observability, testing, security, and CI/CD standards.
