Job summary

Zoom Communications, Inc. is seeking an on-site / hybrid Data Center Technician to troubleshoot and maintain our data center infrastructure. You will work across networks, servers, and assets, coordinating with engineering, sysadmin, and PM teams to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires experience with hardware troubleshooting, data center equipment like KVM and console access, and strong customer-focused communication. A hybrid work model applies with potential night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related field experience or certificates/degree programs such as Industrial Technology, Computer Electronics and Networking Technology, Information Technology.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with data center equipment including console, KVM, and power control; familiarity with JIRA.
• Customer-focused mindset with proactive status updates and high-quality work.
• Effective communication with customers and colleagues; ability to work in a team and make sound decisions.
• Proficient with Google GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
• Comfortable in a high-stress environment; shifts may include nights, holidays, weekends.
• Able to lift up to 75 lb.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute tasks via JIRA tickets for data center infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Support Network Engineering, SysAdmin, and PM teams in data center environments.
• Manage hardware asset tags and perform quarterly/year-end audits with Finance.
• Coordinate with Telco Provisioning for cross-connect orders and LOA/CFA validation; onsite support for tests.
• Provide on-location support for hardware projects; produce status reports on utilization, downtime, and costs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and perform server diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintain data center environment procedures and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
