Job summary

Zoom is seeking a data center support technician to troubleshoot complex systems and assist across network engineering, SysAdmin, and project teams. You will work in a collaborative, high-pressure data center environment, handling hardware repairs and audits while using JIRA for task tracking.

The role requires 2–3 years in a related field or a certificate/degree in IT or networking, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience or related certificate/degree in IT, networking, or industrial tech.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with datacenter equipment such as console, KVM, and power control; familiarity with JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tasks via JIRA and follow diagnostic methods for data center infrastructure.
• Support Network Engineering, SysAdmin, and PM teams in data center work.
• Manage hardware asset tags and perform quarterly/year-end audits with Finance.
• Repair servers (hard drives, SIM, fiber SFP, cabling, etc.).
• Coordinate cross-connect orders with Telco Provisioning; validate LOA/CFA; provide onsite support.
• Provide on-location hardware/infrastructure support for special projects; report status and costs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and self-perform server diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Maintain data center environment and follow published SOPs for safety and operations.
• Able to work shifts including nights, holidays, and some weekends; lift up to 75 lb.
