Job summary

TECEZE is seeking a Data Center Technician to support daily data center operations, including hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment management at our facility. The role requires hands-on experience with servers, racks, switches, and cabling in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle server rack activities, cabling, and equipment installation while troubleshooting hardware issues, performing moves, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with servers, racks, switches, and cabling.
• Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, LAN, VLAN.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Structured cabling and cable management knowledge.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
• Perform server rack and stack activities, including cabling and equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and equipment-related issues.
• Replace and repair faulty hardware components as needed.
• Perform equipment moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning.
• Monitor data center equipment and respond to alerts or support requests.
• Maintain proper labeling and cable management.
• Follow data center safety, security, and access procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment and activities.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams.
• Work with vendors and internal teams when required.
