Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support 24/7 data center operations in multiple locations. This role involves installing equipment, repairing hardware and networks, creating documentation, and solving complex problems with a focus on uptime and reliability.

Travel to various data center sites is required. You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts and operations managers, and you will participate in on-call rotations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• Ability to travel to data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshooting network issues and responding to incidents.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal/external stakeholders including engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors.
• On-call duties and participation in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Training and onboarding new team members.
