Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking Freelance Data Center Technicians to provide on-demand support for global data centers. You will install, troubleshoot, and manage network operations, working independently while coordinating with remote teams.

Ideal candidates have data center experience, Cisco/Juniper networking familiarity, Linux/Windows proficiency, and willingness to travel to data center locations. Flexible hours and fully remote work options are available.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field preferred but not required.
3+ years of experience in data center operations, including freelance projects.
Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices.
Strong proficiency in managing Linux and Windows-based systems and basic security patches.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking equipment to maximize uptime.
Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site to diagnose and resolve issues.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper devices to ensure secure network operations.
Manage Linux and Windows systems with updates and security patches.
Document installations and performance for remote management review.
Implement security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
Collaborate with remote teams and vendors to improve operations.
