nVent is seeking a technical lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to convert real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. This role emphasizes field engagement, understanding system integration, and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in Data Center power, cooling, and UPS-to-rack architecture, with remote work capability and significant travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent data center power experience.
• Ideally 5+ years in a technical applications role supporting Data Center power solutions.
• Ability to work 100% remotely and travel 30-50% across US/Canada; valid driver's license.
• Strong background in air and liquid cooling in the data center space.
• Understanding of Data Center Power Architecture from UPS to rack/equipment level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions for Sales, PM, Operations, etc.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate RFIs/RFQs as requested by customers.
• Provide technical application assistance for pre and post sales.
• Lead strategic accounts from a support perspective.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy (installation guides, procedures).
• Represent nVent at industry events.
• Provide market-specific intelligence and VOC feedback to commercial teams.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader.
• Identify projects in closing phase with sales team and provide vital technical support.
