Job summary

Ericsson Inc. seeks a Data Center Optical Engineer to lead work in customer environments and co-locations, ensuring reliable installation, maintenance and operation of optical transport in data centers.

You will act as the customer interface and drive high-quality execution across installations, migrations, remediation and remote hands services. The role demands hands-on expertise with fiber, optical testing and documentation, with the ability to travel to non-home market sites for extended

Qualifications

3–15 years of experience in data center operations or similar tech environment with customer interaction.
Strong hands‑on experience with connectorized fiber optic cabling (single/multi‑mode).
Experience with optical testing and transport troubleshooting; able to read design documents.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily audits of work at customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person; deliver clear reports.
Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation and migration tasks.
Conduct or supervise optical testing and troubleshooting with OTDRs, meters and test sets.
Deliver services by following MoPs, engineering docs, vendor docs and network diagrams.
Read cut sheets and network designs to ensure correct port connections and cabling.
