Job summary

Crossley Scott seeks a Business Development Manager for the Data Centers division. This role is remote with national coverage across the United States, driving growth, building senior-level relationships, and leading complex sales engagements from initial contact to contract award.

You will collaborate with technical and commercial teams to tailor power and energy solutions for data center operators and developers, while managing opportunities and forecasts in CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Proven success in business development or technical sales within the data center industry.
• Strong understanding of critical power systems, electrical infrastructure, backup power, or renewable energy technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and win complex B2B sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on the data center market.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new opportunities with data center owners, operators, developers, and strategic partners.
• Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers across the industry.
• Deliver technical presentations and commercial proposals that align with customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to develop customised power and energy solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and successfully close high-value opportunities.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies within the critical power and data center landscape.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management through CRM tools.
