Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Account Director – Data Center based in the San Francisco area to manage strategic accounts, drive growth in orders and share of spend, and ensure high customer satisfaction across executive to operational levels.

You will coordinate across business units, develop account plans, lead complex negotiations, and mentor teams while guiding solution development for high-value engagements. This role supports advanced energy technologies and scalable data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related discipline required; MBA preferred.
• 10 years of sales experience required; 12+ years of account management experience preferred.
• Experience working with data center customers, preferably hyperscale clients.
• Experience with renewable energy products such as transformers, high voltage, switchgear, circuits, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the total customer relationship within Hitachi Energy.
• Develop executive relationships at the customer and Hitachi Energy levels.
• Lead development and execution of account and coverage plans.
• Coordinate an account team across business units.
• Drive growth in assigned accounts and maximize revenue.
• Mentor and coach account managers and inside sales staff.
