Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer for SD-WAN and Secure Networking. This remote role supports government and education sectors across the US, collaborating with account teams, partners, and customers to design secure networking solutions.

You will conduct technical discovery, craft scalable architectures, and deliver impactful demos and PoCs, addressing multi-site connectivity, remote access, and cloud adoption. Strong gov/edu communication required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical presales/sales engineering in networking/security/cloud domains.
• Hands-on with SASE, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, and cloud-delivered security architectures.
• Strong understanding of firewalls, IPsec, SSL-VPN, IDS/IPS, and traffic inspection.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions for agency missions and security requirements.
• Design scalable, vendor-agnostic secure networking architectures (SD-WAN, SSE, ZTNA).
• Deliver demonstrations and PoCs for SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and DEM in gov/edu environments.
• Support sales pursuits by responding to RFPs/RFIs/security questionnaires with clear diagrams.
• Collaborate with account managers, partners, and services teams to drive deal outcomes.
• Present to CIOs, CISOs, IT directors, and elected officials.
