Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer – SD-WAN & Secure Networking to work remotely across the United States. You will design, demonstrate, and position secure networking solutions spanning SD-WAN, SSE, and ZTNA for government and education sectors.

You will collaborate with account managers, partners, and customers to deliver compelling architectures and proofs-of-concept, supporting RFP responses and technical workshops while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SASE, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, and cloud-delivered security.
• Strong understanding of security technologies including firewalls, IPsec, SSL-VPN, IDS/IPS.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, BGP, and OSPF.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and RBAC.
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear mission and business value for non-technical government and education stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with agencies to understand missions and compliance needs.
• Design scalable secure networking architectures integrating SD-WAN, SSE, and next-gen firewalls.
• Deliver high-impact demos and workshops covering SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and DEM use cases.
• Position integrated security solutions addressing multi-site connectivity, remote access, and cloud adoption.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with clear documentation and diagrams for SLED procurement.
• Collaborate with sales and partners to drive deal outcomes and present to CIOs and CISOs.
