Job summary

Kinetix Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, United States–based role. You will lead multi-framework compliance programs, risk assessments, and executive reporting for clients while coaching the security team.

You will partner with clients and internal teams to ensure contractual obligations are met, drive security maturity, and provide strategic vCISO guidance across NIST CSF, SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT/cybersecurity, information security governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audits and evidence management.
• Experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and third-party/vendor risk management.
• Ability to advise executives, manage multiple engagements, and evaluate security controls across Windows, macOS, cloud, and identity environments.
• Certifications such as CISM, CISA or similar are preferred.
• Experience in MSP/MSSP or consulting delivering vCISO or advisory services.
• Familiarity with AI governance and emerging security risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives across NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, and ISO 27001.
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance processes and the Security Program Platform.
• Manage risk assessments, third-party/vendor due diligence, and cyber insurance questionnaires.
• Provide vCISO advisory services, including strategy, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
• Guide AI governance, data protection, and acceptable-use policies for clients.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure remediation of identified gaps.
• Collaborate with security operations on incident response and remediation actions.
