Job summary

AgriSompo North America seeks a crop insurance claims adjuster to build and maintain relationships with policyholders, agents and other adjusters. You will record losses, inspect fields, read maps, and use company software to determine indemnities in line with FCIC, NCIS and internal guidelines.

The role requires knowledge of crop insurance regulations, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to learn new crops in a remote Minnesota region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in agriculture is preferred.
• Must have CAPP certification and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and applicable State license.
• Strong knowledge of crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with the Area Claim Supervisor, policyholders, agents, and other adjusters.
• Record and transmit loss information to determine potential damages according to FCIC, NCIS and Company procedures.
• Conduct field inspections, read maps and aerial imagery, measure fields and storage bins.
• Utilize company software and monitor communications.
• Explain adjusting procedures and findings to policyholders and agents.
• Perform fact-finding and investigate crop damage to determine indemnities.
• Willingness to learn new crops.
