Job summary

ProAg, a Tokio Marine HCC company, seeks a Crop Insurance Adjuster for a remote CA role. You will conduct field inspections, read maps and records, and evaluate losses on farms. Travel up to 75% across the Sacramento Valley is expected, with efforts focused on policy interpretation and claim resolution.

You will liaise with claimants and agents, apply MPCI and Crop Hail policies, and continuously expand knowledge of relevant regulations. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Crop insurance experience in claims or compliance or ag-related experience.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer and internet applications.
• Communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
• Completion of CAPP certification and/or state licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fact-finding to determine cause and percentage of loss, exercising independent judgment.
• Convey regulations and interpretation of procedure to claimants, agents, and industry people.
• Discuss industry topics such as new specialty crops or expanding coverage programs with stakeholders.
• Expand knowledge of RMA rules and ProAg procedures for MPCI, Crop Hail, and Federal Crop Insurance regulations.
