Job summary

ProAg, a member of Tokio Marine HCC, is seeking an Area Claims Supervisor to lead Crop Insurance Adjusters across Ohio. The role focuses on coaching, performance reviews, workload management, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

This position requires travel to support a remote, field-based team, with emphasis on training, escalation handling, and collaboration with Claims Management, Compliance, and Underwriting to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field preferred.
• Current Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification.
• Minimum of three years in crop insurance Claims or Compliance.
• Knowledge of adjusting practices, standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, train, and evaluate Crop Insurance Adjusters across Ohio, including performance reviews and day-to-day field support.
• Oversee claims handling for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance with ProAg procedures and RMA standards.
• Assign claims, review work, assist with reserves, and escalate complex matters.
• Partner with Claims Management, Compliance, and Underwriting to support business objectives and resolve field issues.
• Monitor LAE, manage staffing and workload distribution, adjust claims structure as needed.
• Serve as a key point of contact for agent inquiries and concerns, ensuring effective communication.
• Develop and deliver adjuster training and promote best practices in claims systems and tools.
