Job summary

ProAg is seeking a Crop Insurance Adjuster for a remote CA role covering the Sacramento Valley. You will conduct field inspections, read maps, measure fields, and collect production records to determine loss amounts under MPCI, Crop Hail, and Named Peril policies.

You will travel frequently, work from home, and report to the Area Claims Supervisor. A high school diploma and crop insurance experience are required, with CAPP or licenses preferred.

Qualifications

• Crop insurance experience in claims or compliance, or any ag-related experience.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficient with basic computer and internet applications.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively.
• Completion of the Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) or applicable licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and read maps/aerial photos to assess losses.
• Measure fields and storage bins; collect production records for crops.
• Determine cause and percentage of loss using ProAg guidelines; escalate issues when needed.
• Communicate ProAg position to claimants, agents, and industry contacts.
• Travel up to 75% and work from home within the Sacramento Valley territory.
