Job summary

BackOffice Thinking LLC is seeking a Technical Solution Lead to bridge business and technology for nonprofit CRM engagements. You’ll translate client needs into scalable CRM solutions, lead discovery, and coordinate with clients, PMs, and developers to drive results.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years designing nonprofit CRM systems, strong API and integration skills, and a proactive, learning-oriented consulting mindset. This is a remote, US-based role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nonprofit CRM design and delivery.
• 3+ years consulting experience in a client-facing role.
• Advanced Integrations & APIs: design complex integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization, overseeing UAT/testing.
• Workflow Automation: architect integration strategies and oversee automated workflows with n8n, Make, or Zapier.
• Solution Architecture: design scalable, secure, maintainable technical solutions.
• Data Modeling: relational databases, data migration, and complex data mapping.
• Requirements Discovery: lead scoping sessions and translate to actionable plans.
• Technical Documentation: write clear, comprehensive documentation for engineering and clients.

Responsibilities

• Guide nonprofit clients through discovery to understand business goals and define clear requirements.
• Partner with clients to design thoughtful technical solutions balancing priorities and strategy.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and teammates.
• Anticipate dependencies and collaborate with Project Managers through project lifecycles.
• Contribute technically, promote excellence, and build maintainable, scalable solutions.
• Own the process from discovery to delivery and continuously improve client service.
• Demonstrate learning agility by adopting new technologies quickly.
• Design and deliver nonprofit CRM systems.
• Work in a consulting environment to drive outcomes across engagements.
