Job summary

Blackbaud seeks a Principal Solution Architect to partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing, leading cross-functional pursuit teams and owning the technical design of proposed solutions for strategic customers.

You will build executive relationships, translate complex features into business value, and drive consultative selling across nonprofit sectors, with travel up to 25% and a remote-friendly, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Blackbaud solutions or equivalent nonprofit industry experience.
• 4+ years of Solutions Consulting experience.
• 5+ years of experience presenting or managing complex solutions for nonprofit organizations.
• Ability to operate under minimal supervision while leading strategic, account-level deals.
• Strong listening skills and a demonstrated ability to ask effective need-development questions.
• Ability to translate technical features into business benefits and present to executive-level audiences.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and technical resource for Sales and Solutions Consulting teams.
• Manage pursuit of large or strategic sales opportunities with creative, complex solutions.
• Develop executive-level relationships with customers and prospects to advance the sale.
• Document proposed solutions with diagrams and business value.
• Present solutions and ROI with pursuit team.
• Partner with Customer Success to gather requirements and prescribe custom services.
• Advise Account Executives on strategic pursuits outside your direct involvement.
