Elevance Health is seeking a Crisis & Referral Specialist to screen, assess, and provide telephonic intervention for helpline callers using established protocols. The role focuses on safety screenings and de-escalation while ensuring HIPAA and related regulations compliance.

The position supports a 24-hour call center with shifts including weekends and holidays, offering virtual work with some in-person training sessions.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mental health or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience with behavioral health services preferred.
• Experience with telephonic crisis lines preferred.

Responsabilités

• Screen, assess, and provide telephonic intervention for helpline callers using established protocols to determine an immediate course of action.
• Performs safety screenings and assessments to discern presence and acuity of risk to the safety of the individual or others.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
• Provides training and de-escalation support as part of the crisis response protocol.
