Elevance Health is seeking a Crisis & Referral Specialist to support a 24/7 call center, handling inbound calls, texts, and chats from individuals in crisis. You will conduct safety screenings, assess risk, and plan actions with callers, followed by thorough documentation and follow-up to connect them with needed services.

The role requires at least a HS diploma with behavioral health experience (or crisis experience). A BS/BA in a mental health field is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 1 year behavioral health experience, or 6 months crisis experience.
• BS/BA in mental health or related field preferred for higher exposure.
• Call center experience is a plus.
• Crisis experience preferred for handling high-risk callers.

Responsabilités

• Takes inbound calls, texts and chats from individuals needing support or in crisis.
• Performs safety screenings and risk assessments.
• Develops action plan with caller based on information gathered.
• Documents interactions accurately per criteria.
• Provides linkage follow-up to ensure service access.
• Coordinates with agencies to optimize resources and support networks.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal regulations.
