Job summary

CONTACT Care Line is East Tennessee’s first crisis hotline. Our 988 Crisis Program provides text and phone-based support for individuals experiencing emotional distress or suicidal crisis. Crisis Counselors assess risk, offer compassionate support, document thoroughly, and collaborate with visitors to create safety plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with at least 120 college credits.
• Experience in mental health/crisis intervention preferred.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis text/phone/chat compassionately.
• Document interactions within specified timelines.
• Assess suicide risk and develop safety plans.
• Escalate cases and coordinate with supervisors via Slack/Teams.
• Follow training and compliance policies.
