Job summary

Community Network for Behavioral Healthcare is hiring a Crisis Call Center Specialist to provide immediate support for individuals in crisis and to coordinate care with community partners. This remote role requires a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field and clinical licensure is preferred.

You will handle high-volume calls, perform risk assessments, and ensure safety and linkage to care. The position offers full-time nights (Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM) with shift differential,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field required (master's preferred).
• Licensed or license-eligible clinicians strongly preferred.
• Minimum three years' crisis intervention, behavioral health, or substance use experience.
• Proven ability to apply evidence-based clinical judgment under high stress, fast-paced calls.
• Proficiency in risk assessment, motivational interviewing, and crisis de-escalation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with EHR documentation competency.
• Ability to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming crisis lines (988, EPICC, and others).
• Conduct risk assessments for suicide, self-harm, substance use, and crises.
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and safety planning.
• Coordinate level of care and referrals to partners or providers.
• Engage in follow-up and care coordination per protocols.
• Document contacts in compliance with regulations (HIPAA, Lifeline).
• Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development.
