Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive credit analysis experience; specialty/structured lending strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in commercial financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling.
• Knowledge of asset-based lending, borrowing base concepts, and collateral criteria.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to loan committees.

Responsibilities

• Specialty Credit Underwriting: analyze and underwrite complex lending transactions across specialty sectors.
• Collateral and Repayment Assessment: evaluate non-traditional collateral and repayment structures.
• Asset-Based Lending Analysis: build and monitor borrowing base calculations, advance rates, collateral eligibility.
• Litigation Finance Risk Evaluation: assess case merits, jurisdictional risks, timelines.
• Fund Finance and Leveraged Lending: evaluate sponsor experience and exit strategies.
• Credit Reporting and Presentations: prepare detailed credit analyses for committees.
• Complex Transaction Structuring: analyze multi-entity borrowers and SPVs.
• Mentorship: share underwriting knowledge with junior analysts.
• Market/Regulatory Monitoring: track industry developments affecting specialty lending.
• Risk Management/Compliance: ensure alignment with policies and banking laws.
