Job summary

Logan Health is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder to join our remote coding team supporting outpatient records across departments. The role requires ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 expertise and a national coding certification.

You will assign codes, abstract data for reporting and reimbursement, and ensure accurate billing while adhering to regulatory requirements. Remote work is available from approved states; this is a full-time day shift position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Possess knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate required (CCA/ CCS/ CPC or AAPC).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to work in a team and independently.
• Commitment to confidentiality and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and learning new software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records across departments.
• Abstract essential data elements for tracking, reporting, and reimbursement.
• Key data entry, billing and collections for assigned client databases.
• Ensure coding accuracy, medical necessity, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with providers and staff to secure complete documentation.
• Maintain productivity standards and participate in continuous quality improvement.
