American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Specialized Travel Consultant to expertly book corporate travel from a home-based setup. You will coordinate domestic and international itineraries, use GDS systems, and provide proactive, exceptional service while respecting client policies.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and customer-focused communication in a 24/7 Traveler Care unit with flexible afternoon/evening shifts. Prior travel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in travel, preferably business travel, with knowledge of fares and ticketing rules.
• Passion for client service and proactive anticipation of needs.
• Native GDS expertise (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus and/or Galileo).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and data privacy awareness.
• Understanding of travel industry broadly (business/leisure/airline reservations).
• Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers (individuals and groups).
• Book domestic and international travel for air, rail, road, and accommodations.
• Use GDS systems (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, Galileo); training may be provided.
• Communicate effectively via phone, chat, email, and back-office systems.
• Act as trusted advisor by leveraging travel expertise and policy compliance.
• Work solo and with team to meet goals and service metrics.
