Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Global Servicing Travel Consultant to join our remote team, delivering exceptional corporate travel service across the US and neighboring markets. You will manage complex itineraries, ensure policy compliance, and upsell value-added services to clients.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of corporate travel experience, strong Sabre GDS proficiency, and excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ corporate travel experience.
• A minimum of 2 years’ native Sabre GDS expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills in a travel environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Fares & ticketing knowledge, including RTW and complex fares.
• Knowledge of products including car service, hotels and rail.
• Domestic & international destination knowledge.
• Keeping up-to-date knowledge of international travel notifications and guidelines.
• Understanding of the relevant customer base.
• Ability to adapt communication style and lead travelers to outcomes.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Experience working across teams and departments.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers in the US, Canada, UK and Australia.
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options and anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel across air, car, rail, and hotel.
• Use Sabre as the Global Distribution System (GDS).
• Ensure compliance with travel policies, provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Use positive telephone service techniques and handle special requests.
• Prevent fraudulent bookings after hours by following security protocols.
• Collaborate with your team to coach, mentor, and improve service levels.
