Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel in Augusta, Maine, is seeking a Specialized Travel Consultant to book travel for corporate clients from home. You’ll collaborate with a team to provide timely travel solutions and an outstanding service experience.

Ideal candidates have experience in business travel, strong GDS skills (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, Galileo), excellent communication, and the ability to work with clients to meet policy requirements while delivering high‑quality service on domestic

Qualifications

Experience in travel (preferably business travel) and understanding of fares and ticketing rules for car, air, and hotel.
Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs.
Native GDS expertise (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus and/or Galileo).
Professional communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups).
Arrange and book domestic and international business travel for air, road, rail, and accommodations.
Use various Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), including Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, and/or Galileo.
Communicate effectively with customers over telephone, chat, e-mail, and back office systems.
Act as a trusted advisor by providing travel expertise to meet client needs within policy.
Work individually and as a team to meet business and account-specific goals.
