Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is hiring a Travel Consultant to support our corporate clients from a remote team in the United States. You will advise and arrange travel, ensure policy compliance, and proactively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services.

You’ll use Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus to book domestic and international travel, and collaborate with teammates to raise service levels in a 24/7 Traveler Care environment.

Qualifications

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers.
• Research travel options and anticipate traveler needs.
• Book domestic and international business travel across modes (air, ground, rail, hotel).
• Use GDS platforms; training may be provided.
• Ensure compliance with travel policy and regulations.
• Provide proactive service and handle special requests.
• Collaborate to coach teammates and improve service levels.
• Traveler Care is a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers.
• Conduct analysis on travel options and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services.
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations.
• Use various Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), including Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus. Training may be provided
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels
