Availity, a leading healthcare technology platform, seeks a Corporate Counsel to advise on healthcare law, data privacy, and cybersecurity matters. You will draft and negotiate complex technology and data protection contracts, work with cross‑functional teams, and guide the business on HIPAA, HITECH, and privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Experience advising in healthcare, technology, or data privacy law.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, state privacy laws, and breach-notification requirements.
• Experience drafting/negotiating healthcare IT contracts and data-protection terms.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to healthcare technology and data protection.
• Provide legal risk assessments to business and technical teams.
• Advise on HIPAA/HITECH compliance and privacy requirements.
• Partner with Information Security on cybersecurity incidents and risk management.
• Monitor evolving healthcare privacy and security laws and translate into policy guidance.
