Job summary

Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations, ensure accurate financial closes, and enforce internal controls. The role directs AR/AP, payroll, and currency translation, coordinating with auditors for annual audits and tax filings.

You will oversee system improvements with NetSuite, Concur, and ADP, while mentoring the accounting team to deliver reliable financial information for internal and external statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in industry or public accounting with international operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the accounting department to timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
• Manage AR/AP, payroll, disbursements, and currency translation compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits and tax filings.
• Lead system enhancements with NetSuite, Concur, and ADP; mentor staff.
