Job summary

HIMSS is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee the organization’s accounting operations, ensure a timely financial close, and uphold internal controls. You will manage GAAP compliance, external audits, and tax filings, while directing intercompany and international accounting activities.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with auditors, and drive system enhancements with NetSuite, Concur, and ADP, shaping accurate financial reporting for HIMSS and related entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in industry or public accounting with international operations.
• Experience managing remote teams and complex accounting processes.
• Strong ethics and leadership in financial close and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver reconciled statements.
• Develop and enforce financial policies to safeguard assets.
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, and cash application activities.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and audits and tax filings.
• Lead system enhancements (e.g., NetSuite) and coordinate third parties.
• Provide guidance on GAAP and financial reporting to executives.
