Copeland seeks a dedicated Controls Trainer to deliver expert instruction on CO2 refrigeration controls and system components to customers, contractors, wholesalers, and OEMs. You will translate complex concepts into practical, hands-on learning across virtual and in-person settings.

You will design and update curricula, partner with Product Management and Engineering, and ensure content reflects the latest technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration controls as field service technician, engineer, or equivalent role.
• 2+ years CO2 system experience with focus on controls and troubleshooting.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Working knowledge of controls programming, wiring diagrams, and system troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel 80% and excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and multimedia training on controls hardware, software, and system architecture.
• Conduct standard and custom courses tailored to customer and OEM requirements.
• Facilitate hands-on equipment demonstrations and troubleshooting exercises simulating real-world scenarios.
• Maintain and update training curriculum, hands-on exercises, and reference materials with new products/firmware.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and SMEs to reflect latest technology and guidance in content.
• Review and validate technical accuracy of e-learning, videos, and job aids with instructional designers.
• Follow adult-learning practices, adjusting delivery to different audiences and skill levels.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and update materials based on feedback and data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot training equipment and demonstration systems used in coursework.
• Stay current on industry trends through tradeshows and online communities.
• Travel to customer sites, training centers, and industry events as needed.
• Provide post-training support by answering questions and directing learners to resources.
