Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, is hiring a Controls Trainer for a fully remote US-based position. You will deliver hands-on training on Copeland control systems to customers, contractors, wholesalers, end users, OEMs, and employees across the commercial refrigeration industry.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content reflects the latest technology and field guidance, while applying adult-learning methods and maintaining training materials.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration controls as field service technician, engineer or equivalent role
• 2+ years CO2 system experience focusing on controls and troubleshooting
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, able to explain technical concepts to varied audiences
• Working knowledge of controls programming, wiring diagrams, and system troubleshooting
• Ability to travel 80%
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and multimedia training on controls hardware, software, and system architecture
• Conduct standard and custom courses tailored to customer and OEM requirements
• Facilitate hands-on equipment demonstrations and troubleshooting exercises simulating real-world scenarios
• Collaborate with Controls Training Team to maintain and update training curriculum and reference materials
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and SMEs to ensure content reflects latest technology
• Review and validate technical accuracy of e-learning, videos, and job aids
• Apply adult-learning best practices, adjusting delivery to different audiences
• Evaluate training effectiveness and update materials based on feedback and field data
• Maintain and troubleshoot training equipment and demonstration systems
• Stay current on industry trends through events and communities
• Travel to customer sites, training centers, and events as needed
• Provide post-training support by answering technical questions and guiding learners to resources
