Job summary

Qsource is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage all aspects of the accounting function, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, and project accounting. The role requires strong internal controls, policy development, and GAAP compliance, reporting to the VP of Finance within the Finance Department.

The incumbent will oversee month-end close, financial statement preparation, and government reporting, while guiding staff and cross-functional teams. Remote work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in accounting or relevant experience required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years accounting experience with GAAP.
• Cost accounting and federal/state experience with government procurements.
• Unanet experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Minimum of three years accounting supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions: AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, project accounting, purchasing and cash management.
• Formulate and implement accounting policies with the VP of Finance and ensure adherence by staff and vendors.
• Implement internal controls and maintain documentation procedures.
• Execute month- and year-end close in line with GAAP.
• Analyze financial statements and advise management on internal control improvements.
• Assist in contracting budgets and government reporting requirements under FAR/CAS.
• Provide management with accounting guidance and modify programs as needed.
• Train staff on accounting policies and procedures.
