Job summary

Definiti LLC is seeking an experienced Controller for a remote-first finance function. You will own the monthly close, drive accurate financial reporting, and oversee audits and tax returns in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.

You will lead a small accounting team, partner with senior leadership, and advance automation across the finance function using Sage, FloQast, Ramp, and Excel. CPA preferred and PE-backed growth experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with US GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
• Manage annual audit and tax return processes, coordinating with auditors and advisors.
• Provide hands-on accounting support in a lean finance environment.
• Coach and develop the accounting team and drive timely, high-quality results.
• Assist with acquisition-related accounting and post-close integration.
• Develop scalable accounting policies, procedures and reporting practices.
• Drive automation and finance transformation using Sage, FloQast, Ramp, Excel, Copilot.
