Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to institutional stakeholders, focusing on contracts, Title IX and ADA, IP, privacy, technology, and other regulatory matters for in-person and online programs.

The role is fully remote with very limited travel (<5%). The attorney will draft, review, revise, and negotiate complex contracts and policies in collaboration with University Counsel.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school.
• Bar admission in at least one state; CT house counsel status preferred.
• At least two years of legal practice.
• Interest in higher education law and contract review.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates vendor, technology, data privacy, and IP agreements.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population.
• Assists with intellectual property matters as requested.
• Supports privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and related marketing matters to ensure University compliance.
• Performs legal research and develops resource material for educational outreach.
• May assist with student concerns and employment matters after gaining familiarity with University practices.
• Works in collaboration with associates throughout the University.
• Other duties as assigned.
