Job summary

Post University seeks a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to institutional stakeholders, with focus on contracts, Title IX/ADA, IP, privacy, and technology matters for both in-person and online programs. This remote role involves collaboration under University Counsel with limited travel.

The attorney will draft, review, revise, and negotiate contracts and policies to ensure compliance with laws and University policy, supporting cross-functional operations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
• Superior drafting and negotiating skills; experience in contract review and key provisions.
• Ability to develop working knowledge of laws related to higher education.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and alliances, and data privacy and security matters.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for a growing international student population.
• Supports the legal and compliance groups on privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing.
• Performs legal research and education outreach on regulatory issues.
