Job summary

Post University seeks a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to university stakeholders, focusing on contracts, Title IX and ADA, IP, privacy, and regulatory matters. The role emphasizes collaboration under University Counsel, with extensive drafting and negotiation of policies for in-person and online programs.

This fully remote position requires bar admission in at least one state and a JD from a US law school, with a minimum of two years' practice. Travel is limited (<5%).

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school and bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of two years' legal practice.
• Experience in higher education is helpful but not required.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiating abilities.
• Willingness to learn contract provisions related to IP, privacy, and IT security.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor, technology, data privacy, IP, and international agreements.
• Review outgoing student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal advice on ethical operations and compliance.
• Assist with international compliance for international students.
• Support with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, NCAA, TCPA, Title VI compliance.
• Conduct legal research and develop internal resources and trainings.
• Collaborate with university stakeholders across departments and manage priorities.
