Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to institutional stakeholders, supervised by University Counsel. This remote role requires limited travel and focuses on contracts, Title IX and ADA, intellectual property, privacy, IT security, and other regulatory matters for both in-person and online programs.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school.
• Connecticut house counsel status required.
• Strong drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills.
• Experience with higher education regulatory matters preferred.
• Ability to advise on privacy, IT security, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships, data privacy and security, and IP matters.
• Reviews outgoing student communications to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for the growing international student population.
• Supports with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, NCAA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing compliance as learned, to ensure university compliance.
• Performs legal research and develops resource material for education on regulatory issues.
