Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to provide legal guidance to institutional stakeholders, including the legal & regulatory team, faculty, and staff. The role emphasizes drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating contracts and policies to support online and in-person programs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and University policy.

This fully remote position involves limited travel (<5%) and offers an opportunity to combine legal skills with business operations in higher education.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; Connecticut house counsel status is required
• At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required
• Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills
• Interest in contract review and key provisions (copyright ownership, data privacy, IT security, indemnification, insurance)
• Ability to keep abreast of changing regulations related to university business
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Superior drafting and negotiating skills
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Aufgaben

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships, data privacy and security, international matters, and IP.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for international student population.
• Supports with IP matters as requested.
• Advise on privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing in line with university policy.
• Performs legal research and develops educational resources on regulatory issues.
• Collaborates with university associates across departments on legal matters.
• May assist with student and employment-related problem solving after familiarity with practices.
