Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal adviser to campus stakeholders, supervised by University Counsel. The role focuses on contracts, compliance, privacy, and regulatory matters for in-person and online programs, with flexible remote work and limited travel.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school.
• Attaining approved house counsel status in Connecticut is required.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions.
• Ability and desire to develop working knowledge of laws, regulations and policies related to higher education.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Speak effectively one on one, or in small or large groups across formats including in person and virtual presentations.
• Superior drafting and negotiating skills.
• Strong research, writing, editing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and data privacy and security matters.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population.
• Supports the legal and compliance groups with other matters involving privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing.
• Performs legal research, drafts and develops resource material, and conducts educational outreach within the institution on legal and regulatory issues.
