Qualifications

• Must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited program.
• Licensed to practice law.
• Some experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Research statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the organization.
• Prepare memorandums and correspondence.
• Inform Navitus of new legal changes and provide guidance on legal issues.
• Provide legal counsel to Navitus staff on business objectives and policies.
• File legal documents in digital and physical filing systems.
• Develop processes for indexing and filing of legal documents and managing contracts.
• Support other departments on contracts, regulatory affairs, and business operations.
