Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions seeks a Staff Attorney to assist the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with drafting legal documents and templates, performing research, and managing legal records and templates under limited supervision.

You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, prepare memoranda and correspondence, and advise on policy and regulatory matters to support Navitus' business objectives.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited program (preferred).
• License to practice law required.
• Some experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for sensitive topics.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Support compliance program objectives and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes statutes, judicial decisions, contracts, and legal codes.
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts on behalf of the organization.
• Prepares memoranda and correspondence.
• Informs Navitus of legal changes and provides guidance on issues.
• Counsels staff on implications of business objectives and policies.
• Files legal documents in digital and physical filing systems.
• Develops processes for indexing and filing legal documents and contracts.
• Supports other departments on contracts, operations, and regulatory matters.
• Other duties as assigned.
