Job summary

OpenTrain is seeking a Contract Redlining Attorney for a confidential law and AI training project. You will review commercial agreements using established playbooks and company policy positions, identify legal and business issues, determine acceptable fallback outcomes, and explain the reasoning behind proposed revisions.

The role focuses on practical transactional judgment across MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and similar documents.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction
• At least four years of transactional practice in a law firm or in-house setting
• Hands-on commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation experience
• Experience assessing liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and data protection provisions
• Strong written communication, legal analysis, and contract interpretation skills

Responsibilities

• Review and redline MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and similar agreements
• Identify risks, priorities, and acceptable fallback positions
• Explain redline decisions and commercial tradeoffs in clear written analyses
• Apply contract drafting and negotiation judgment to AI training tasks
• Collaborate with contributors to maintain consistent interpretations
